Abstract

We can now evaluate the coancestry between specific relatives. Consider first the coancestry between an individual and one of its offspring, f(PO). If A and B are the parents of C, fAC is an example of a parent-offspring coancestry coefficient. From Eq. (25.5),

$${f_{AC}} = \left( {1/2} \right)\left( {{f_{AA}} + {f_{AB}}} \right).$$
