Zusammenfassung

Das Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) ist eine Datenbank, in der Daten über die Emission toxischer Chemikalien durch US-amerikanische Produktionsunterneh-men gesammelt werden. Es registriert auch, in welchen Mengen solche Stoffe am Produktionsstandort rezykliert, energetisch verwertet oder aufbereitet oder zu diesen Zwecken bzw. zur Deponierung an andere Orte verbracht werden. Die entsprechenden Informationen müssen dem US-Umweltbundesamt EPA jährlich vorgelegt werden und sind der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich.
