Zusammenfassung

Der Wert dopplersonographischer Untersuchungen in der Schwangerschaft für die Diagnostik der Plazentainsuffizienz ist durch zahlreiche Studien belegt (Übersicht in 1, 9, 16, 22). Dennoch wird die klinische Wertigkeit dieser neuen Untersuchungsmethode zur fetalen Zustandsdiagnostik kontrovers diskutiert: Es bleibt umstritten, ob sich durch den Einsatz der Doppler-Sonographie in Risikokollektiven die perinatale Morbidität und Mortalität senken läßt (16). Die kritische Beurteilung der bisher vorliegenden Studien wird durch den Umstand erschwert, daß bisher einheitliche Richtlinien für die Erstellung und Beurteilung von Blutströmungsprofilen in uteroplazentaren, fetoplazentaren und fetalen Blutgefäßen fehlen.
