Analyse der Distributionsstruktur in einem Elektronikunternehmen

Zusammenfassung

Es wird berichtet über die Ergebnisse einer praktischen Diplomarbeit zur Analyse und Optimierung der Distributionsstruktur eines Handelsunternehmens in der Elektronikbranche. Nach systematischer Erhebung der Ausgangssituation stand die Beurteilung verschiedener taktischer und strategischer Strukturalternativen hinsichtlich Transport sowie Anzahl und geographische Lage von Standorten im Mittelpunkt der Untersuchung. Mit der Methode der Simulation und unter Anwendung eines Transportmodells, das die Einbeziehung von Kapazitätsrestriktionen und konkaven Kosten funktionen erlaubte, ließen sich die Auswirkungen dieser Maßnahmen auf die Gesamtkosten der Distribution ermitteln. Die zu erwartenden erheblichen Einsparungen führten dazu, daß die Erkenntnisse der Untersuchung weitgehend durch unternehmerische Entscheidungen in die Tat umgesetzt wurden.

Summary

This report shows the results of a practical study for a diploma about analysis and optimization of the distribution structure of a trading company in the field of electronics. After having checked systematically the given situation, the emphasis was laid on evaluation of several tactical and strategic alternatives of structures regarding transport as well as number and geographic conditions of locations. By means of the simulation method and use of a transport model, which allows to include capacity restrictions and concave cost functions, the consequences of these measures on the overall distribution costs could be ascertained. The expected substantial cost reductions led to the fact, that the results of the study have been largely translated into action by management decisions.
