Zusammenfassung
Durch die wachsende Zahl von Ausländern aus Ländern des Mittelmeerraumes, in denen die zystische Echinokokkose endemisch ist, tritt auch in Deutschland diese Erkrankung häufiger in Erscheinung. Insbesondere werden neben der Leberechinokokkose zunehmend andere abdominelle Lokalisationen und prolongierte, komplizierte Krankheitsverläufe beobachtet.
