Zusammenfassung

Erste Erfahrungen mit der intraoperativen Sonographie (IOUS) reichen in die frühen 60er Jahre zurück [12,21]. Eine breitere Anwendung erlangte dieses Verfahren jedoch erst durch die Entwicklung handlicher, gassterilisierbarer Schallapplikatoren mit einer Frequenz von 5-10 MHz und durch die Verbesserung der sonographischen Technologie zum zweidimensionalen B-Mode und zum Real-time-Verfahren.
