Abstract
The stationary pattern of the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (B–Z) reaction has long been studied as a typical example of dissipative structures appearing in nonlinear systems far from equilibrium [1,2]. Recently, the chaotic behavior of the spiral pattern in the B-Z reaction has been extensively studied from the viewpoint of an order-disorder transition [3]. In the present article, we report several results of our observation of the dynamics of a sufficiently developed target pattern of the B–Z reaction.
