Zusammenfassung
Messungen und Modellrechnungen belegen übereinstimmend die qualitativ signifikante Beteiligung des Ozeans an der Entwicklung des Erdklimas. Neuere Untersuchungen stärken die Ansicht, daß insbesondere die thermohalin getriebene Tiefenzirkulation durch relativ schwache Störungen der oberen Randbedingungen im Nordatlantik gravierend verändert werden kann.
