Abstract
The first theoretical paper on the calculation of the radiation spectrum of a quantum system under the action of QEFs was published in 1933 by Blochinzew [3.1]. He analyzed the splitting of a model hydrogen line (consisting of only one Stark component) in a field E 0 cos ωt and showed that the line splits into, in general, an infinite number of satellites separated from the line center by the frequencies Δω = ±ω, ±2ω, ..., ±pω, .... Actually QSs of a quantum system were found for the first time in [3.1] (without using this terminology). In this chapter, further results concerning the profiles of hydrogen-like spectral line under the action of a single- or multimode one-dimensional QEF are given. The possibilities for the implementation of these results in plasma diagnostics are also discussed. The main results of Chap. 3 are contained in [3.2–9].
