Zusammenfassung

Unter den chronischen Krankheiten des Bewegungsapparates scheinen die Osteoporosen im Laufe der vergangenen Jahre eine herausragende Bedeutung gewonnen zu haben. Während früher die Folgen dieser Krankheit beim alten Menschen praktisch als unvermeidbare Begleiterscheinung des Alters hingenommen wurden, werden heute die Praevention der Osteoporosen und ihre Therapie als praktisch durchführbare Maßnahmen gehandhabt.
