Abstract
Environmental Data is nearly always a rather large collection of items which have a high complexity. Until today most of the software systems visualizing environmental data do not take this fact into account. With this paper, we will introduce a new graphical user interface paradigm, called dialogue shifts, which makes complex data sets easy to access.
