Scoringsysteme in der Verbrennungsbehandlung

Summary

Scoring systems are generally accepted in burn treatment. They are valuable for an estimation of the individual prognosis of the patient, the determination of entry criteria for multicenter studies, and for quality control of therapeutic protocols. Admission socres are especially suitable for burn treatment since none of the widely used scores which reflect the course of treatment have proved to be valuable in burn patients. The three main indications for the use of score systems are illustrated by clinical examples.

Zusammenfassung

Scoring-Systeme sind im Bereich der Verbrennung nicht mehr wegzudenken. Sie dienen nicht nur zur Abschätzung der individuellen Prognose des Patienten, sondern vor allem zur Bestimmung von Eingangskriterien für multizentrische klinische Studien und zur Erfolgskontrolle der klinikinternen Therapiekontrolle. Es hat sich gezeigt, daß hierfür im Bereich der Verbrennungsmedizin vor allem sogenannte „admission scores“geeignet sind, da die gängigen Verlaufscores wie Apache II sich nur bedingt für die Verlaufskontrolle bei Schwerverbrannten eignen. An klinischen Beispielen werden die 3 Hauptindikationsgebiete für Score-Systeme in der Verbrennungsmedizin erläutert.
