Abstract

Definition: Chromoblastomycosis is a chronic cutaneous mycosis, usually without tendency to generalization or deep invasion. It occurs most frequently on a lower extremity of an adult male and forms verrucous nodules.

Doctors Jorge Salas, Jorge Piza, Saeed Mekbel and Pedro Morera, and Mrs. Cecilia Chacón, assisted in the preparation of the manuscript. The members of the Sociedad Latino Americana de Anatomía Patológica contributed by answering the questionnaire of the survey.
