Summary
High-resolution autoradiography of biogenic amines was performed in various organs, such as intestine, pancreas, adrenals, liver, kidney, right atrium, paraganglia, and spleen. The incorporation pattern after administration of tryptophan, 5-HTP, DOPA, and serotonin shows strong differences related to the ability of the cells to hydroxylate, decarboxylate, or store, biogenic amine precursors or biogenic amines themselves.
