Abstract
The three-body methods discussed in previous chapters have been applied to hadronic systems with considerable success. The applications are of two types: calculations of the properties of three-hadron systems, and studies of three-body reaction mechanisms in many-hadron systems (N > 3). The former has been extensively reviewed at recent conferences [6.1–4] and in current books and monographs [6.5–7], while reviews of the latter have been few and far between [6.8,9]. In this chapter, we restrict our scope to the application of three-body methods to scattering and reactions in nonrelativistic hadronic systems with more than three particles.
