Zusammenfassung
Auf den ersten Blick erscheint der Versuch, eine Einführung oder gar eine Übersicht über Fragen der Skalierung zu geben, in hohem Maße überflüssig zu sein. In einer großen Zahl von allgemein zugänglichen Monographien werden sowohl die theoretischen als auch die Anwendungsaspekte der Skalierung ausführlich diskutiert. Eine durchaus nicht vollständige Liste solcher Handbücher wird gegeben durch die englischsprachigen Bücher von BOCK und JONES (4), COOMBS (10), EDWARDS (12), GUILFORD (17), GULLIK- SEN und MESSICK (18), HAYS (21) und TORGERSON (63) sowie die deutschsprachigen Monographien von GUTJAHR (19), KLAPPROTT (24) und SIXTL (55). Speziell der Bereich der mehrdimensionalen Skalierung wird in SHEPARD, ROMNEY und NERLOVE (53) bzw. in AHRENS (1) und KÜHN (30) abgehandelt. Für eine schnelle Information stehen deutschsprachige Übersichtsartikel von ESSER (14) und speziell für die mehrdimensionale Skalierung von HAGENDORF (20) zur Verfügung.
