Abstract
Tumor manifestation in the skeleton may be isolated, multifocal, or disseminated, resulting in one or several fractures. If several fractures are present, they may have arisen at different times or simultaneously. Whenever tumor-related fractures occur, the patient suffers pain and loss of limb function. The treatment therefore concentrates on compensating for loss of function and relief of pain.
