Abstract
Recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is a glycoprotein that stimulates granulocyte and macrophage progenitor cells to form mature colonies of granulocytes and/or macrophages [1–3]. Clinically, GM-CSF may have a role in stimulating myelopoietic regeneration after irradiation, treatment with cytostatic drugs, bone marrow transplantation and other treatments.
