Abstract
A structural system reliability analysis of a typical jacket platform is presented. The nonlinear behaviour of the braces has been taken into account by an incremental load formulation in differential form. The first order Taylor expansion of limit states for a piece-wise linear structure with random stiffnesses, is established. To illustrate the formulation, a simple example with two brace elements has been given.
