Zusammenfassung

Voraussetzung für die Resistenz gegenüber Infektionen ist ein intaktes Immunsystem. Dabei kommt es ebenso auf die Funktionsfähigkeit der einzelnen Komponenten und Funktionsgruppen des Immunsystems an, wie auf das optimale Zusammenspiel und die ausgewogene Regulation im Ablauf der Auseinandersetzung mit einem Infektionserreger, also dem Vorgang, den wir als Immunantwort bezeichnen.
