Zusammenfassung
Thyreoglobulin (Tg) ist ein jodiertes Glykoprotein mit einem Molekulargewicht von 660 000 Dalton. Es wird ausschließlich in den Thyreozyten gebildet und nach Jodierung und Synthese der Schilddrüsenhormone an der apikalen Thyreozytenmembran in den Schilddrüsenfollikeln gespeichert [2]. Unter TSH-Stimulation kommt es zur Phagozytose von Tg, durch lysosomale Enzyme werden die Schilddrüsenhormone abgespalten und in die Blutbahn abgegeben [8]. Der weitere Weg des Tg ist bisher nicht geklärt. Wahrscheinlich wird es teilweise weiter enzymatisch abgebaut, aber auch eine Sekretion von Tg zusammen mit den Schilddrüsen-hormonen in die Zirkulation wird postuliert [8]. Nachdem nämlich empfindliche radioim-munologische Bestimmungsmethoden für Serum-Tg entwickelt worden waren [7, 13], fand man bei nahezu alien Schilddrüsengesunden Tg-Spiegel je nach Bestimmungsmethode zwischen 10 und 43 ng/ml [10, 11]. In mehreren Untersuchungen, vor aliem aus der Arbeitsgruppe von van Herle et al. [8], konnte eine Abhängigkeit der Tg-Spiegel von der TSH-Stimulation der Schilddrüse gezeigt werden [8, 14]. Hieraus wurde gefolgert, daß Tg, ähnlich den Schilddrüsenhormonen, ein normales Sekretionsprodukt der Schilddrüse darstellt. Der Abbau des Serum-Tg erfolgt, wie bei nahezu alien Glykoproteinen, über die Leber, die Halbwertszeit beträgt etwa 48–72 Std.
