Zusammenfassung

In den letzten Jahren hat die Immunologie des Insulins eine überraschende Bedeutung gewonnen. Eine große Zahl bisher unerklärlicher Phänomene lassen sich nunmehr verstehen. Wir müssen sie nicht mehr als isolierte Erscheinungen der Antigenwirkung des Insulins ansehen. Sie finden ihren Platz in dem großen Gebäude der modernen Immunbiologie.

Die diesem Vortrag zugrunde liegenden eigenen Untersuchungen erfolgten mit Unterstützung der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft, Bad Godesberg
