Leukämien sind durch eine neoplastische Proliferation blutbildender Zellen gekennzeichnet und werden in Abhängigkeit vom Ausreifungsgrad der Zellen und vom klinischen Verlauf in akute und chronische Formen unterteilt sowie entsprechend dem beteiligten Zelltyp klassifiziert.
