Zusammenfassung
Als primäre Myopathien oder Myopathien im engeren Sinne werden solche Muskelerkrankungen bezeichnet, die auf eine primäre Störung der Muskulatur selbst zurückzuführen sind. Bei den sekundären Myopathien kommt es zu Ausfällen motorischer Einheiten oder Untereinheiten durch Störungen im Bereich der zentralen Neurone, des proximalen Anteils der peripheren Motoneurone oder deren distalen Anteile (Neurit) (Siegenthaler 1973). Nach einem anderen Einteilungsprinzip werden als Funktionsmyopathien solche Muskelerkrankungen bezeichnet, bei denen sich die Störungen weitgehend oder ausschließlich auf die Leistungsfähigkeit der Muskulatur beschränken ohne nennenswerte pathologische Gewebsveränderungen. Daneben werden als Strukturmyopathien jene Muskelerkrankungen mit morphologisch faßbaren Strukturveränderungen meist mit prozeßhaftem Verlauf unterschieden (Kuhn 1966; Erbslöh 1974). Nach der Pathogenese können endogene, exogene und kryptogenetische Myopathien differenziert werden. Bei vielen Myopathien ist ein formaler Erbgang aufgeklärt worden, weshalb man auch von hereditären Myopathien spricht (Becker 1964).
