Zusammenfassung

Es erscheint uns schwierig, von dem Krankheitsbegriff des „Arthritisme“ eine zufriedenstellende Definition zu geben: keine bestimmte Läsion, keine chemische Formel, kein besonderes Symptom erlauben denselben zu charakterisieren. Er ist in Wirklichkeit keine eigentliche Krankheit, sondern eine Diathese, d. h. eine Prädisposition zu einer ganzen Gruppe von Affektionen.
