Ergebnisse der Chirurgie und Orthopädie

Zusammenfassung

Die Chirurgie der Blutgefäße steht noch im Beginn ihrer Lehrzeit. Wenn ich es dennoch schon heute versuche, eine kurze Übersicht über die bisherigen Leistungen auf diesem Gebiete zu geben, so tue ich es nur zögernd und mit dem Wunsche, daß eine kurze Spanne Zeit genügen möge, die folgenden Ausführungen als veraltet und überholt gelten zu lassen. Bei dem mir zur Verfügung stehenden Raum ist es unmöglich, alle auf dem zu besprechendem Gebiete erschienenen Arbeiten zu berücksichtigen; ebensowenig kann es meine Aufgabe sein, hier einen Abriß der Geschichte der Gefäßchirurgie von den ältesten Zeiten her zu geben; ich muß mich darauf beschränken, die Fort schritte der neuesten Zeit kurz zu skizzieren.
