Wenn die Reihenfolge der n Größen

$${a_0},\;{a_1},\;{a_2},\;{a_3},\;...\;{a_{n - 1}}$$

gegeben ist und man subtrahirt jedes Glied von dem darauf folgenden Gliede, so erhält man eine neue Reihenfolge von Größen, nämlich

$${a_1} - {a_0},\;{a_2} - {a_1},\;{a_3} - {a_2},\;...\;{a_{n - 1}} - {a_{n - 2}}$$
