Wie Trypsin wird auch Chymotrypsin in der Bauchspeicheldrüse (Pankreas) gebildet. Zunächst entsteht eine inaktive Vorstufe, das Chymotrypsinogen, das sowohl durch Chymotrypsin selbst als auch durch Trypsin und andere Proteasen aktiviert wird (2).
