Zusammenfassung

In gleicher Weise, wie wir es in der Einleitung zum vorhergehenden Abschnitt über die Lebergeschwülste zum Ausdruck gebracht haben, soll an dieser Stelle im wesentlichen die Klinik und Pathologie der Geschwülste der extrahepatischen Gallenwege besprochen werden, da eingehende strahlentherapeutische Ausführungen sich erübrigen; nur selten kommt bei diesen Tumoren eine auch nur palliative Strahlenbehandlung in Betracht. Dennoch sind die anatomischen und geschwulstklinischen Besonderheiten dieser Körperregion immer wieder wichtig als Basis therapeutischer Überlegungen. Dies gilt nicht nur für das engere Bemühen des Strahlentherapeuten, sondern auch für dessen Verständnis gegenüber chirugischen Eingriffen.
