Zusammenfassung
Der Kreislauf ist ein Transportsystem, das u. a. im Zusammenspiel mit der Atmung die Gewebe mit O2 und Substrat versorgt und von CO2 und Metaboliten befreit. Der Stoffwechsel, beurteilt z. B. nach dem O2-Verbrauch, ist deshalb maßgebend für die Regulation der Gewebsdurchblutung. Zusätzlich unterliegt der Kreislauf über Vermittlung des zentralen Nervensystems (ZNS) aber auch einer nerval-hormonalen Kontrolle. Insbesondere beeinflussen Efferenzen des Parasympathikus und Sympathikus in Abhängigkeit von der Aktivität des ZNS und der Funktion bestimmter Kreislaufreflexe Herzfrequenz sowie Kontraktilität der Herz- und Gefäßmuskulatur.
