Zusammenfassung

Der Ersatz eines erkrankten Organs durch ein Transplantat aus gesundem Gewebe ist lange Zeit ein Wunschziel der Medizin gewesen. Dabei kam es zu großen Rückschlägen aufgrund des wenig kooperativen Verhaltens des Körpers, der Gewebe eines anderen Individuum nicht zu tolerieren bereit ist. Bevor wir über die Natur und die Umstände dieser Abstoßungsreaktion sprechen, ist es sinnvoll, einige Begriffe zu klären, die für Transplantate Verwendung finden.
