Zusammenfassung

Der Bau der Leber ist durch die reiche Gefäßversorgung besonders kompliziert. Während allen übrigen Organen nur von einer Seite — von der des Herzens — Blut zugeführt wird, erhält die Leber gewisser mäßen von zwei Seiten Blut; der eine Weg, die Leberarterie, führt Sauerstoff und Nährstoffe, die Betriebsstoffe heran, der andere, die Pfortader, die Rohprodukte, welche vom Darm geliefert zm Speicherung, zum Umbau der Leber als zentralem Stoffwechselapparat zugebracht werden.
