Der Wunsch nach einem Tier gehört zu den tiefsten Kindersehnsüchten. Ob damit wirklich nur das Tier gemeint ist, ob damit nicht auch andere Sehnsüchte – nach Beziehung, nach Vertrautheit, nach Verstandenwerden beispielsweise – symbolisch chiffriert sind, sei zunächst offen gelassen.
