Abstract
The fuel-injection system injects fuel into the combustion chamber at high pressure, at the right time, and in the right quantity. The main components of the fuel-injection system are the injection pump that generates high pressure, and the injection nozzles that are linked to the injection pump via highpressure delivery lines – except with the Unit Injector System. The injection nozzles project into the combustion chamber of each cylinder.
