Zusammenfassung

Als Begriff hat der Konstitutionalismus Konjunktur. Aber was mit Konstitutionalismus gemeint ist, ist heute umstrittener denn je. Das semantische Feld ist breit gefächert: Vertraut man den Fachzeitschriften, so ist der Konstitutionalismus heute ‚national‘ oder ‚global‘, ‚staatlich‘ oder ‚gesellschaftlich‘, ‚holistisch‘ oder ‚pluralistisch‘, ‚politisch‘ oder ‚managerial‘ – um nur einige der zur Zeit geläufigsten Bezeichnungen zu nennen, hinter denen sich oftmals neue verfassungstheoretische Ansätze verbergen.
