Wir führen jetzt die L p-Räume (p ≥ 1) ein, die in der Analysis eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Sie bestehen aus allen messbaren Funktionen f, für die das Integral von | f |p endlich ist. Die p-te Wurzel aus diesem Integral definiert eine Norm auf L p, bzgl. der L p vollständig ist. Insbesondere ergibt sich, dass L 2 ein Hilbertraum ist.
