Zusammenfassung
Das Instrumentarium der Strategiearbeit ist derart umfangreich, dass leicht die Orientierung bei der Auswahl geeigneter Instrumente verloren geht. Eine Unterscheidung von Strategieinstrumenten nach ihrem Zeitbezug und Interaktionsgrad ermöglicht eine Zuordnung zu vier grundsätzlichen Gruppen, die sich hinsichtlich ihres Erkenntnisbeitrags für die Strategieentwicklung unterscheiden. Der Zeitbezug unterteilt dabei nach der Daten- oder Modellbasis in vergangenheits-und zukunftsbezogene Instrumente.

Although external changes can be the problem, the greater threat to strategy comes from within.
