Abstract

This chapter is structured as follows. First, I explain why a mixed methods design is appropriate for this project and I elaborate on the benefits of the particular design of a survey followed by semi-structured interviews (3.1). The second section explains the case selection and its implications (3.2).Here, I also discuss the implications of measuring intentions to naturalise vs. actual naturalisations.
