Zusammenfassung

Auf kein anderes Kapitel in diesem Buch scheint der Titel, „Kultur in den internationalen Beziehungen“, so gut zuzutreffen, wie auf das Folgende. Das liegt daran, dass sich der Fokus der anderen Kapitel, wie auch der Disziplin Internationale Beziehungen, nicht so sehr auf Beziehungen zwischen Nationen als auf Beziehungen zwischen Staaten richtet. Dennoch hat sich der Begriff internationale Beziehungen zur Bezeichnung interstaatlicher Beziehungen durchgesetzt, wie sich etwa an den Vereinten Nationen erkennen lässt, die kein Zusammenschluss von Nationen sondern von Staaten sind.
