Zusammenfassung
In anderen Ländern herrschen bekanntlich andere Sitten. In unserer Zeit der Globalisierung bewegen sich auch die Mittelständler oft im internationalen Umfeld. Wer sich mit den Gepflogenheiten der einzelnen Länder auskennt, ist klar im Vorteil, ob geschäftlich oder im Privaten. Aber worin unterscheiden sich die Chinesen von den Deutschen in ihrem Handeln? Das Kapitel beginnt mit einigen wissenswerten Informationen für das Leben in diesem fernöstlichen Land. Ferner wird das Kulturverständnis nach G. Hofstede bzw. E.T. Hall vorgestellt. Die Besonderheiten der chinesischen Kultur werden anhand der erläuterten Theorien dargestellt und auch die tiefgründigen Motive hinter ihrem Handeln werden analysiert. Anschließend werden einige Handlungsempfehlungen skizziert.
