Zusammenfassung
Das Bild stellt eine besondere Herausforderung für die soziologische Metaphernforschung und -theorie dar. Es markiert einen weiteren Entwicklungsschritt in der Auseinandersetzung mit Metaphern. Die Metaphernforschung nahm ihren Ausgang von der antiken Rhetorik, wurde neuzeitlich dann zum Gegenstand einer sprachwissenschaftlichen Befassung und erst spät entwickelte sich ein soziologisches Interesse an der Metaphorik.
