Abstract

Properties of impurities in quantum wells are reviewed, both theoretically and experimentally, emphasizing effects of an external magnetic field. New results on donors in two-dimensional GaAs-Ga1-x, AlxAs hete-rostructures with a spacer are presented. Influence of “‘ an external magnetic field and a hydrostatic pressure on their properties is discussed in terms of magnetic freeze-out effect and metal-non-metal transition.
