Abstract

I would like to ask you for your attention for the presentation of the Olga Radzyner Award. This award was established in order to commemorate Olga Radzyner, the Head of the Foreign Research Division in the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, who passed away in a tragic accident in August 1999. The Olga Radzyner Award will be bestowed on young economists for excellent research focused on monetary and finance issues in economics. Three applicants are eligible to receive a single payment of EUR 2,500 each from an annual total of EUR 7,500. This year’s winners are

  • Florian Ovidiu Bilbiie (Romania) from the University of Warwick

  • Martins Bitans (Latvia) from the University of Latvia

  • David Vavra and Martin Cincibuch (Czech Republic) from CERGE Prague/Czech National Bank.
