Zusammenfassung

Beim Schädel-Hirn-Trauma muß zwischen primären und sekundären Hirnschäden unterschieden werden. Primäre Schäden des Gehirns entstehen durch Scher- und Zugkräfte beim Aufprall; sie führen zu fokalen Hirnkontusionen und zu irreversiblen oder reversiblen diffusen axonalen Schäden.
