Zusammenfassung
Die Hauptaufgabe der Niere besteht in der Eliminierung von Stoffwechselschlacken bei gleichzeitiger Bewahrung von noch benötigten Substanzen in der Weise, daß das „innere Milieu“ konstant gehalten wird: Isotonie und Isoionie, darunter besonders Isohydrie (also Konstanz der Wasserstoffionenkonzentration), usw.
