Zusammenfassung

Die Aneurysmen der thorakalen Aorta sind in der Regel erworben. Kongenitale Aneurysmen sind sehr selten und treten meist in Zusammenhang mit anderen kongenitalen Anomalien, wie dem offenen Ductus arteriosus und der Aortenisthmusstenose auf. Als Genese kommen hauptsächlich die Arteriosklerose, die Lues, ein Trauma, Sepsis, Riesenzellaortitis und die zystische Medianekrose in Betracht. Neben der Ätiologie ist für die operative Behandlung besonders die Morphologie und Lokalisation von Bedeutung.
