Von einer Neugeborenensepsis spricht man dann, wenn bei klinisch kranken Neugeborenen in den ersten 4 Lebenswochen systemische Infektionszeichen auftreten, die mit einer Bakteriämie einhergehen [16, 18–20, 22, 28, 31].
