Zusammenfassung

Mit dem vorliegenden Beitrag möchten die Verfasser das Verständnis für die „komplexen biopsychosozialen Aspekte des komplexen regionalen Schmerzsyndroms“ („complex regional pain syndrome“, CRPS) fördern und das „Spektrum der multidisziplinären Behandlungsoptionen“ aufzeigen. Einer ausführlichen Beschreibung des Krankheitsbildes folgen detaillierte Ausführungen zu einem 3-stufi-gen Behandlungsplan, der in jeder Stufe medizinische, physiotherapeutische und psychologische Interventionen vorsieht. In einem gesonderten Absatz wird die „klinische Relevanz psychischer Komorbiditäten“ dargestellt, die nur bei einem begrenzten Anteil der CRPS-Klientel auftreten, dann aber in besonderer Weise bei der Behandlung zu berücksichtigen sind. Der Beitrag schließt mit einem kritischen Resümee bezüglich des aktuellen Forschungs- und Versorgungsstandes.
