Zusammenfassung

Die Akupunktur ist ihrer Herkunft nach ein Teilgebiet der chinesischen Medizin. Diese reicht in ihren diagnostischen und therapeutischen Gesichtspunkten und Verfahrensweisen weit über die Akupunktur hinaus und stellt auf dem Boden des alt-chinesischen Verständnisses von Erkrankung und Gesundung des Menschen ein über die Jahrtausende hin weiterentwickeltes und ausgeformtes Erfahrungswissen dar. Sie hat ihre Grundlagen in den naturphilosophischen Anschauungen der alten chinesischen Kultur (Hempen 1989, Richter und Becke 1989, Schnor-renberger 1985, Stux 1988, Stux et al. 1989).
