Abstract
The analysis of the structure of the deuteron is carried out in the framework of the dispersion diagram method. Taking into account nucleon degrees of freedom only, the p — n phase shift data (δ S , δ D and inelasticity ε) for J P = 1+ at the kinetic energies up to 1.0 GeV were used for the determination of the deuteron vertices, which are the relativistic analogues of the deuteron wave function. A good description of the form factor combinations A(Q 2) and B(Q 2) up to Q 2 = 1.8 GeV 2/ c 2, including the deuteron magnetic and quadrupole moments was obtained.
